About your dashboard
Signing in to Novel takes you to your dashboard. View your progress on your profile, a glance over your saved video profiles, and your active journals.

The profile card
On the left (on top on mobile screens) is your profile card. Here you have:-
An summary about you: Here, you'll see your name, your goal, and your selected professional function, along with your avatar, if you have one.
At-a-glance information about your profile: Novel will tell you, quantitatively, how complete your profile is. You can access the profile page from here by pressing the button that appears at the bottom right of this card.
Video profiles: You'll be able to see how many video profiles you have here, and the action button at the bottom right here will take you to the video page. You'll also be able to quickly record a video from here on the button next to it.
Your guide
When you're new to Novel, you'll see a guide card on the right (below the profile card on mobile screens). This card will help you get started with Novel. You can dismiss this card by pressing the button at the top right of the card (visible on hovering over the getting started header). Use this card to go through Novel's primary modules, your Profile, your Video Profiles, and Journals, step-by-step.
Journals
If you've sufficiently moved enough steps in the guide, you'll be able to see the journal card. This will be your permanent second card on the dashboard.
Here, clicking on journals takes you to their dedicated page. You can see how many journals you have, and you can quickly create a new journal by pressing the
button at the bottom left of the card.
If you don't have any journals, you'll be able to create a journal from here, by pressing either Create one from templateor Create one from scratch buttons to perform their respective actions.
Your agenda
Your dashboard's agenda section.
Here, you can get a quick at-a-glance view of upcoming tasks and journal entries. Mark off tasks as you complete them, and click on the entry to go to the journal entry page.
You also have some special actions on your navbars here. Read on to learn more about them and about navigating through Novel.
